A woman accused of attacking a Fox 6 news reporter in suburban Detroit has not been charged, and no arrests have been made.
According to police, the incident happened Saturday morning around 2:45 a.m. when a woman approached the Fox 6 reporter and demanded that she leave the newsroom.
Police said the woman then ran into the parking lot of the Detroit Police Department and told a police dispatcher that she had assaulted a reporter.
The woman was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, criminal mischief and public intoxication.
The Fox 6 Detroit reporter, Katie Ritter, who was injured in the incident, said her eye was badly bruised.
“I just had to get out of the news room and get the glass off my eye,” Ritter told reporters Monday afternoon.
“The glass broke in half and I couldn’t see what happened.”
Ritter said the incident was the first time she has had to leave a newsroom and that she believes she has been verbally and physically abused by the woman.
“It’s just really sad, really sad,” she said.

Ritter added that she was told she had been charged with a misdemeanor count of assault and battery, but the charges were later dropped.

According to a police report, Ritter was interviewed by police after the incident and said she had suffered a cut on her eye.
The report stated that Ritter also told police she had experienced “an attack from a masked man who had been yelling racial slurs.”
Police said Ritter had not been arrested and were investigating whether she had a weapon.
Ritter declined to comment to reporters Monday morning.
According of the Fox News website, Ritters work as a news producer for the network.
Fox News is owned by 21st Century Fox and has a news department in New York City.
Ritters work has been a staple of Fox News since her days as a young reporter for Fox News Channel.
In 2014, Rittters first show aired on Fox News.
Rittters parents are not affiliated with Fox News, and Fox News said the network was aware of her case.
In addition to Ritter and her father, Fox News does not have a news director for Ritter.
